The Arlington and Fort Calhoun boys golf teams battled stiff winds Thursday during their final regular season tournament of the season.
Both the Eagles and Pioneers played the nine-hole Northridge Country Club in Tekamah twice with FCHS' Adam Elofson securing a 15th-place finish. He wrapped-up his round with just 87 strokes, while Tysen Sunderman carded 98 and Korbin Klein finished with 114.
Calhoun's Caden Newman finished 18 holes with 118 swings, too, as Beau Ruma took 120.
Arlington's Winston Slykhuis led his team with 95 strokes, while Trenton Hansen notched 121. Calvin Flesner carded 122 swings, too, as Schuyler Logemann and Jack Rosenbalm finished with 130 and 137, respectively.
Both teams were scheduled to play 18 more holes Monday during district competition. Fort Calhoun was to join Blair — which had its final regular season triangular in Wahoo called off due to the aforementioned wind — at York Country Club during the Class B District 2 Tournament, while the Eagles were set to play Indian Trails Country Club in Beemer for the Class C District 2 Tourney. Results for all three teams will appear in Friday's Washington County Enterprise edition.
