AHS, FCHS athletes claim academic honor from Journal Star

Arlington and Fort Calhoun High School student-athletes recently received kudos from the Lincoln Journal Star.
In total, 30 Washington County athletes were recognized on the newspaper's 2021-2022 Academic All-State list. Nominated juniors and seniors with 3.6 GPAs or greater were eligible.
“The Journal Star staff evaluated each nomination, weighing factors relating to both athletic and academic achievement,” the publication noted.
The Washington County recipients are as follows, including those that earned 4.0 GPAs — Katie Barta, Drucilla Eppenbaugh, Luke Hammang, Julia Landauer and Janessa Wakefield.
Arlington: Chase Andersen, Hailey Brenn, Trevor Denker, Eppenbaugh, Colby Grefe, Kailynn Gubbels, Hammang, Logan Kaup, Dillon Kim, Landaur, Stella Lewis, Sydney Magnino, Kate Miller, Emma Misfeldt, Johna Moural, Dalton Newcomer, Barrett Nielsen, Bailey Taylor, Kiersten Taylor and Wakefield.
Fort Calhoun: Barta, Bella Benoit, Zach Faucher, Grace Genoways, Tilden Nottlemann, Ely Olberding, Lance Olberding, Jacob Rupp, Tess Skelton and Austin Welchert.
