The Class C No. 8 Arlington baseball team dropped to 4-5 Tuesday after its fourth-straight defeat.
After a road loss to Plattsmouth on Monday, the Eagles lost at home to Douglas County West, 7-0. The Falcons scored five runs during the second inning and two more insurance runs during the top of the seventh.
AHS, meanwhile, failed to score a run despite five hits. Burke Quinn, Wes Monke, Luke Sharp, Jackson Stosich and Peyton Marfisi — who doubled — all reached base on contact swings, but failed to return to home plate. Monke reached a second time when he was hit by a DC West pitch, too.
Defensively, Stosich threw five innings for the Eagles, striking out seven Falcons. He surrendered two earned runs, while Marfisi — a freshman — gave up five to go with two strikeouts across two innings.

Eagles fall at Plattsmouth
Arlington scored first Monday in Plattsmouth, but not again during the Blue Devils' 11-1 home win.
The Eagles manged just three hits during the six-inning game, losing what was their third-straight contest. Plattsmouth, meanwhile, improved to 5-3 with the victory.
Monke, Tim Halley and Liam Shearer logged AHS' hits. Halley finished 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Defensively, Tanner Kyllo threw five innings for the AHS. He struck out four batters before Sharp replaced him on the mound.
