ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Bids for the construction of the “Trail Extension Phase 3 & 4 for the City of Fort Calhoun”, Embris Project No. 230003.00, QuestCDN No. 9072645, will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall located at 110 S. 14th Street, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023, until April 30, 2024 at 10:00am local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Group A consisting of the construction of approximately 2,200 LF of 8-foot-wide trail, Group B consisting of the construction of approximately 1,250 LF of 6” horizontally directionally drilled watermain, and Group C consisting of the construction of approximately 100 LF of 5-foot-wide sidewalk. The engineer’s opinion of probable cost will be read during the bid opening. Bids will be taken for said construction work listed above by unit prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project. One (1) contract for all groups will be issued. Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be obtained from the Issuing Office, Embris Group, LLC, through their website at https://www.embrisgroup.com by download utilizing QuestCDN. All bids for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the Issuing Office and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the amount of the bid. Bid Security must be made payable to the Treasurer of the City of Fort Calhoun as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refused, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. Copies of the contract documents are on file with the City of Fort Calhoun or at the Issuing Office located at 963 N 13th Street, Fort Calhoun, NE for examination and viewing only during normal business hours. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the Issuing Office utilizing QuestCDN. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Prospective Bidders may obtain the Bidding Documents by downloading them from the Issuing Office’s website at a cost of $22.00 for each set. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents will not be provided. Downloaded documents may be printed at Bidder’s own expense. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Owner, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
