8U softball teams play in There's No Place Like Home tourney

Two Nebraska Quakes teams and one Nebraska Thunder squad went 3-0 Sunday during the annual There's No Place Like Home age 8 and younger softball tournament in Blair.
The Blair Chaos 8U team, meanwhile, went 2-1 in Pool A on the Blair Youth Softball Association fields. It opened with a 12-10 win against the Bennington Elite 7U before the Quakes-Bang squad topped it, 9-7.
The Chaos rebounded, though, winning their last game against the Waverly Heat, 15-6, according to tourneymachine.com.
A Blair Chaos 7U squad and the Fort Calhoun Pioneers played during the Blair tourney, too. The 7U Chaos, which scored 23 runs total Sunday, went 0-3 with a one-run loss to the Western Iowa Hurricane.
The Pioneers, meanwhile, went 0-3 with losses to the Bennington Elite 8U, the Quakes-Buchanan and the Southwest Iowa Titans.
Twelve teams total took part during the one-day event.
