Fifteen high school golf teams played 18 holes Thursday during the Ashland-Greenwood Invitational.
Multiple golfers shot under par, while six Washington County players from Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun carded scores under 100 strokes at Ashland Golf Club.
Though he finished well out of the medals, the Pioneers' Tysen Sunderman led the county. He finished with 87 swings, carding 41 across holes 1-9.
Altogether, FCHS finished with 378 team strokes. In addition to Sunderman's low, Beau Ruma and Caden Newman broke 100 swings. Ruma finished with 95, while Newman carded 96.
The Pioneers' Adam Elofson added 100 swings to his team's invite total, while Korbin Klein finished with 106 strokes across 18 holes.
Blair, meanwhile, finished with a 395 team score in Ashland. Jack Schroder led the Bears with 90 strokes, taking just 42 shots to finish holes 10-18.
Justin Bird finished with 100 BHS swings, too, while Degan Dresden carded 101. Jacob Hanson had 104 as well.
Both Winston Slykhuis and Hunter Wallace finished with less than 100 strokes for AHS during the Bluejays' tournament Thursday. Slykhuis put 88 toward the Eagles' 402 total, including just 42 on the front nine, while Wallace took 96 swings across 18 holes.
Trenton Hansen added 108 Arlington strokes, too, while Schuyler Logemann and Calvin Flesner finished with 110 and 118 swings, respectively.
The Eagles were scheduled to play Gretna East during a dual Monday, but next compete 9 a.m. today during an 18-hole tournament at Blair's River Wilds Golf Club. BHS will be in attendance, too, while the same can be said for Fort Calhoun.

FCHS excels at Club 91
Before their Ashland trip, FCHS golfers produced a noteworthy fifth-place finish at the Rick Charipar Memorial Club 91 Golf Course in Leigh on April 16.
“(We had) 368 (strokes) as a team, which is one of the best team scores we have had since I have been the head coach,” the Pioneers' Dustin Humphrey said.
Sunderman earned eighth individually, finishing with just 84 swings — a new career low. Elofson finished with just one more stroke, earning 11th with his own best-ever score, while Newman shot a 94.
Klein added 107 strokes to the team total, while Ruma finished with 111, too.
“We had a really good day,” Humphrey concluded.
