Arlington's Trent Koger, Schuyler Logemann and Killian McIntosh celebrated Senior Night on Friday with a 61-33 boys basketball victory against Louisville.
Koger had the most to celebrate at home, though, scoring his 1,000th career point during the game. The senior post player finished with 20 points total, knocking down a third-period free throw with 1.9 seconds left to break 1,000.
“It was something I was looking at just the last two weeks,” Koger said of the career feat. “I'm like, 'Oh crap, I'm really close right now to 1,000 points.'”
The timing worked for him, too.
“Getting it on Senior Night was really cool to do,” he explained.
The Eagles dominated Friday's first half, outscoring the Lions 35-9. Oliver Ladehoff scored the first points of the first period, while McIntosh scored the last of the 8 minute frame from beyond the 3-point line, giving the home squad a 21-7 advantage.
Arlington built the lead from there, holding Louisville to two second-period points. Logemann and Ladehoff opened the quarter with 3-point makes before Ladehoff capped it with a drive into the lane.
The Eagles' advantage on the scoreboard continued throughout the second half. In addition to Koger's 20, Logemann and Ladehoff finished with 12 points apiece. McIntosh scored seven, too.
Alex Sorensen, meanwhile, led Louisville with 15 points.

Bergan tops AHS in OT shootout
Arlington hosted a second home game Saturday against Fremont Bergan, but lost in overtime.
The Knights won the 74-69 shootout led by Gavin Baker's game-high 37 points. Koger scored 31 for the Eagles, who were outscored 10-5 in extra time.
AHS led 34-27 at halftime, but struggled to slow Bergan during the third quarter. Coach Jake Polk's team trailed 51-45 going into the fourth and later tied the game, but ultimately lost it.
The Eagles' regular season finale is Friday at home against the highly-touted Omaha Concordia Mustangs.
