3 AHS athletes start soccer season at Fremont

Arlington High School student-athletes are back on the pitch for the Fremont High School girls soccer team this spring.
Senior Grace Siver is playing her second season with the Tigers as is sophomore Gwen Bostwick. Addyson Beam, meanwhile, is a freshman for coach Chad Manning's squad.
The Tigers started their campaign with a 2-0 weekend, outscoring Omaha Concordia and Norfolk Lutheran by a combined score of 10-0 during an Omaha Bryan tournament. Coach Manning's team bested the Mustangs 2-0 Friday before an 8-0 win Saturday against the Eagles.
Emma Diers led FHS with six goals across the two season-opening matches.
On Tuesday, though, Fremont played at Lincoln Southwest and suffered its first loss. The Skyhawks earned the win, 5-0.
Siver, notably, plays forward for the Tigers, according to the team's roster on maxpreps.com. She wears No. 22.
Bostwick, No. 21, is a midfielder and Beam, No. 28, plays as a defender.
The Tigers were scheduled to play Thursday at Columbus, but next compete 4:30 p.m. today at home against Lincoln North Star. FHS plays its home matches at Fremont Middle School.
