Levi Lasher, Hans Sorensen and Tanner Kyllo are the latest Nannen Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week.
The baseball players had strong weeks on the diamond.
Levi Lasher, Fort Calhoun baseball: The Pioneers’ pitcher threw a seven-inning no-hitter Thursday against Arlington, striking out three batters. He walked just two Eagles, too. Special mention goes to Kaylee Taylor, who won multiple track and field events Friday at Platteview.
Hans Sorensen, Blair baseball: The pitcher threw a two-hit complete game Thursday, leading his Bears to a 3-2 upset of Class B No. 8 Waverly. He had five strikeouts during what was BHS’ first win of the season, too. Special mention goes to Blair senior soccer player Blythe Knight, who scored her first varsity goal Saturday after four years of contributions on the defensive end.
Tanner Kyllo, Arlington baseball: The Eagles' pitcher notched five strikeouts on Monday and then went 3-for-4 with three RBIs against Thurston-Cuming County the next day. Special mention goes to the Arlington track and field team for its patience. The Eagles have had just one track meet so far this season due to multiple weather-related cancellations.
