The Easter bunny is a day late with this one, but it’s time to celebrate the latest Nannen Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week.
Josh Hamre, Brynn Ray and Alex Christensen put up numbers worthy of recognition last week, for sure.

Josh Hamre, Arlington golf: The Eagles won the season’s first dual and Hamre is a solid reason why. He carded 42 strokes across nine holes at Stone Creek Golf Course, recording an eagle on No. 7. Special recognition goes to his teammate, Jacob Meehan, who finished nine holes with 44 strokes, according to coach Landon Walkenhorst.

Brynn Ray, Blair soccer: The Bears’ leading goal-scorer left last Wednesday’s match early with a limp, but returned for four scores across the next two wins of BHS’ 8-0 start. Notably, she scored a hat trick in a tight win against Elkhorn North, and has 10 goals with seven assists this season, according to maxpreps.com. Special recognition goes to Ray’s teammate, Laynie Brown, who scored four goals across three matches last week and baseball player Lucas Matjeka, who knocked in the winning runs against Norris.

Alex Christensen, Fort Calhoun baseball: The first baseman excelled last week against Arlington, notching three hits and four RBIs. His team won, 7-1. Special recognition goes to Kaylee Taylor of the track and field team, who won the long jump at Platteview and added three more top-five finishes.
