Washington County voters overwhelmingly support Trump

A total of 8,812 voters in Washington County voted for President-elect Donald Trump in Tuesday’s general election. That number is 69 percent of all Washington County voters.

In other national races, 7,787 Washington County voters, or 61 of the total, helped U.S. Sen. Deb Fischer win another term, and 9,101 local voters helped carry U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts back to Washington.

A total of 8,802 Washington County voters selected the victorious U.S. Rep. Adrian Smith, who represents District 3.

Five of the six ballot measures on Tuesday’s ballot were approved by Nebraska voter.
