Washington Co Board of Supervisors The Board met at 3:04 pm on Tue, Nov 22, 2022 in the Supervisor’s meeting room at the Courthouse in Blair, Nebr. Present: Chairman Steve Dethlefs, Co Board Members, Jordan Rishel, Lisa Kramer, Jay Anderson, Bob Frahm, Kevin Barnhill, and Steven Kruger. Also present, Co Clk Barb Sullivan and Co Atty Scott Vander Schaaf. Board unanimously approved the agenda for 11/22. Board voted to approve the minutes of the 1/7/22 meeting with 6 members voting aye, Rishel abstain without conflict. Claims were received, reviewed, and approved unanimously approved. There was no correspondence. Hwy Supt Hansel gave a brief update on Road Dept projects and then he and Tim Farmer from Speece Lewis opened the following bids for projects C89 (599), (635), (636), and (638): 1) Gus Construction Co, $1,323,055. 2) M.E. Collins, $1,346,721. 3) Vogtscapes Inc, $1,085,680. Bid amounts are totals for all four projects with varying completion dates. Board unanimously approved bid from Vogtscapes Inc for the projects. Planning Admn Chris Shewchuk had the following public hearing: David Purdy requests a CUP to construct an accessory structure before the primary structure on property zoned A-1. Shewchuk went through the request and the applicant spoke, then the Chairman opened a public hearing. After there were no public comments, the board voted unanimously to approve the CUP for David Purdy for a two-year term. Shewchuk then discussed the appointment of three members to the Washington Co Planning Commission and passed out ballots to board members. Applicant Kevin Hartzell was present and spoke. Clk Sullivan then read the following tallies: Kevin Hartzell- 7 votes, David Taylor- 5, Cynthia Timmermier- 2, Greg Hoegermeyer-4, Robert Pearson- 3. Board voted unanimously to appoint Kevin Hartzell, David Taylor, and Greg Hoegermeyer to the Washington Co Planning Commission for three-year terms from Jan 1, 2023 to Dec 31, 2025. Weed Supt Josh Nelson distributed the year-end report for the 2022 control season and gave a summary. Board voted unanimously to table authorizing the Chairman to sign Master Agreement regarding Land Survey Corner Preservation and adopt resolution until next meeting. Board voted unanimously to authorize Chairman to sign SDL Local Recommendation Forms for Washington County Community Foundation, Charity Celebration, 12/15/22. Committee reports were briefly discussed, and Mike Anderson spoke during public comment. There was no closed session.
