Here's how each team in action Friday did:

CROSS-COUNTRY
Fort Calhoun's Bria Bench and Jacob Rupp, and Blair's Hailey Amandus, medaled Friday during the state cross-country meet.
Bench earned the county's top finish, claiming ninth in the Class C girls race. She finished the 5-kilometer course in 20:16.7, while Dala Drowne was 26th and the full FCHS girls team finished eighth.
The Fort Calhoun boys, meanwhile, finished two points shy of a runner-up trophy. They were third as Rupp was 13th in 17:11.1 and Lance Olberding finished just shy of a medal in 17th.
Amandus led the Bears with her own 13th-place finish in 20:20, leading BHS to its best-ever Class B finish in the girls' team standing. Blair was fourth overall with Mary Roskens adding a 26th-place finish.
On the Class B boys' side, Blair's Dawson Fricke led his teammates with a 32nd-place finish.
Arlington's Colby Grefe also competed at state, finishing 72nd.
