STATE FINALS UPDATE: Miller earns 2nd title, Larsen finishes 2nd

Washington County high school wrestlers Josh Miller and Dex Larsen wrestled for NSAA State Championships on Saturday night in Omaha.
Miller, a 47-0 senior from Arlington, repeated as a state champion, while Larsen, a 51-1 senior from Blair, finished second.
The Eagle won his Class C 170-pound title match by 12-1 major decision, celebrating it with a cartwheel backflip. He closes his career with 190 career wins and two state titles.
Larsen, meanwhile, earned his first state medal at 195 pounds. The Bear lost his Class B title match by 3-2 decision to 51-0 Lathan Duda of Broken Bow, who hadn't lost a match since 2019.
In addition to the finalists, two Bears, two Fort Calhoun Pioneers and an Eagle added state medals. In Blair's Charlie Powers and Jesse Loges took third and fifth in Class B at 145 and 106 pounds respectively, while Arlington's Hunter Gilmore was third at 145 in Class C.
The Pioneers' Lance and Ely Olberding, meanwhile, took fourth and sixth at 113 and 120 pounds in Class C.
