Bears' Larsen named to Shrine Bowl
Blair High School senior Dex Larsen was among the football all-star players to be announced last Saturday for July's 63rd Nebraska Shrine Bowl Game.
The Bear is an undefeated wrestler who finished his final BHS football season last fall as a Class B all-state recipient. The Wayne State College recruit will play opposite Omaha Westside standout Cade Haberman — a friend, Northern Illinois recruit and former Blair Youth Football Association teammate — on the North squad.
The Shrine Bowl is June 5 at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Last summer, Blair's Brady Soukup, Fort Calhoun's Tyler Strauss and Arlington's Remington Gay took part.

Applications must be received by March 10.
The shotgun hunt for mobility-impaired hunters is scheduled for April 17-18 and will allow for and provide a limited number of accessible hunt blinds. Interested hunters can discover more information or sign up by contacting Park Ranger Peter Rea by phone (712-388-4803) or by the aforementioned email address.
