Ronnie D. Hilgenkamp, age 68, of Arlington, Nebraska passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at his home. He was born May 2, 1953, in Fremont to Gilbert and Verna (Hoegermeyer) Hilgenkamp.
He grew up at Arlington and was a 1971 graduate of Arlington High School. He was a dairy farmer, a job he loved. Ronnie had been a 4-H Leader for 20 years and was on the Washington County Fair Board for 13 years.
Ronnie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington and was a lifetime member of (DFA) Dairy Farmers of America. He loved his cows and called them his girls, but his greatest love was being a father and grandfather. He loved to work and never missed a day of milking. And always knew when it was “Beer 30” after a hard day's work.
Survived by son, Josh Hilgenkamp, of Arlington; daughter, Dana (Cameron) Moyer of Papillion; brothers, Arlen (Susan) Hilgenkamp of Grand Island, and Duane (Sue) Hilgenkamp of Olathe, Kan.; and grandsons, Micah and Avery Moyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, also at Reckmeyer’s. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the family for a later designation.
