Anderson, Robert “Bob” Lee, age 88 of Ft. Calhoun, NE (formerly of Tekamah, NE).
Born: August 15, 1936, Blair, NE.
Died: May 2, 2025, Ft. Calhoun, NE.
Bob graduated from Blair High in 1954. After graduating, he went and worked for the city of Blair as a lineman for two years.
Bob married the love of his life, Dorothy Kruger, in Idaho in 1956. They were happily married for 50 years.
Bob and his wife raised their two sons: Lee (wife Ruth) and Tom (wife Caryn). Dorothy was a housewife and Bob worked in sales. They bought a grocery store in Fort Calhoun and ran it together before moving to Tekamah and purchasing a different store. They also cared for troubled youth in group homes in Omaha, NE and Laramie, WYO.
Bob enjoyed riding and training horses in his spare time. He was very social and people were known to spend much of their time at the store to discuss the “day’s events” with Bob. He also enjoyed westerns and old country music.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy C. Anderson; great-grandchild, Maverick; sister, Dorothy Coffey; and brother, Richard (Sandy) Anderson.
Bob is survived by his sons, Lee (Ruth) Anderson, Ft. Calhoun, NE; Tom (Caryn) Anderson, Blair, NE; sister, Darlene McGrath, Mountain Home, Idaho; grandchildren, Logan (Sarah) Anderson, Cara Anderson, Garrett Anderson, Emily (Bryan) Moore, Maris (Eric) Taylor and Kelsey Anderson; great-grandchildren Breyton, Everly, Stella, Isaac, Monroe and Theodore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2025, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.
INURNMENT: Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
