Raymond Charles "Chuck" Seefus

Raymond Charles "Chuck" Seefus passed away on December 9, 2020 from congestive heart failure at the Blair Community Hospital. A private graveside service will be held at a later date, in the spring of 2021.

Chuck was born December 6, 1931 in Valley, Nebraska the son of Raymond and Iola Seefus. Chuck attended Blair Public Schools, graduating in 1950. Chuck married Helen Louise Jordan on September 30, 1951 and they were married for 68 years. Chuck was drafted into the Army on November 3, 1952 and was sent to Heidelberg, Germany during the Korean War. After returning from service in 1954, Chuck worked for the Post Office in Blair for 25 years. And then for Nebraska-Iowa Supply from 1988-2010. Chuck and Helen also owned the B&C Shop and Kid Klothes in Blair for many years. Chuck loved to hunt and fish on the Missouri River. He loved baseball and rarely missed a game when his grandson Ryan played high school and college baseball. In his later years he became an avid golfer and spent several days a week golfing with his good friends. He and Helen loved to travel and took several vacations each year with many of his lifelong friends from Blair.

Chuck is survived by his children: Jennifer Scott and Mark (Pam) Seefus; sister Arlene (George) Ritner, grandchildren: Stephanie (Randall) Andrews, Diana Seefus and Ryan (Fiancée Aimee) Seefus; great grandson Findlay Andrews.

Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Helen, parents Raymond and Iola Seefus and brother Larry Seefus.

Campbell Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Blair.
