PUBLIC NOTICE The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from applicant to construct a new water transmission main in Blair, Washington County, Nebraska. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, EDA is conducting an environmental assessment (EA) of the proposed project. The project proposes to add municipal water delivery capacity by installing a new transmission main. Blair’s Water Treatment Plant is a 20 Million Gallon per Day (MGD) facility that treats surface water from the Missouri River. Design is currently underway that will increase system’s daily flow to 30 MGD. Increased capacity will serve all users in the community and a bio-refinery facility. The project will occur approximately 4,000 feet south of the Water Treatment Plant, 742 Fairview Dr, Blair, NE 68008; the new transmission main will run north-south from Fairview Dr to Grant St. Project information is available for review at Blair City Hall, 218 S 16th Street, Blair, NE 68008; phone (402) 426-4191.
