The Blair golf team and Arlington's Dianna Taylor capped NSAA State Golf Championships play Tuesday.
The Bears competed as a team during the Class B tournament at Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering, while Taylor represented her Class C school at Elks Country Club in Columbus.
The Eagle was just the second-ever state girls golf qualifier from her school. She shot a 113 through the first 18 holes of the two-day tournament before carding 132 strokes Tuesday over the final 18.
Blair junior Anna Moore, meanwhile, led her squad with a two-day 196 over 36 holes. She shot a 99 on Monday and a 97 Tuesday, sinking two par shots during the second round.
Bear senior Rachel Parks logged her team's low round score of the tournament with a 93 on Tuesday after carding 108 strokes on Monday. She finished with 201 total swings, and shot par on four holes.
Mallory Stirek cut 15 strokes from her Monday score and finished with a 99 on Tuesday. She shot 213 overall, while Addie Stirek finished with 215. Addie also notched the Bears' lone state birdie.
BHS' Kaia Stewart, like Parks, capped her high school career with a second-straight state tournament trip. She finished with 227 swings over 36 holes, shooting par on two of them Tuesday.
“Finally broke 400,” Bears coach Ross Udey said, proud of his team's effort. Blair finished with a 389 on Tuesday after a 435 on Monday.
No Washington County golfers medaled during state play and BHS finished outside out of the trophy standings. Full results will be available Friday in the Washington County Enterprise and online here at enterprisepub.com/sports.
