The Blair volleyball team ended its 2020 season in celebration Saturday at Omaha Skutt Catholic High School.
The 7-21 Bears earned the Class B-1 District runner-up plaque in 3-0 defeat as the No. 1 Skyhawks (32-1 overall) advanced to the NSAA State Championships. Skutt won Saturday's match 25-6, 25-11, 25-7.
Coach Brandi Nicholson said her Blair team met its goals while competing against a team that was ranked No. 1 in the country at one point this season by the American Volleyball Coaches Association/USA Today.
BHS, meanwhile, started the season just 1-19, but won six of its last seven matches to reach the district finals.
