The Fort Calhoun Junior Legion baseball season ended Sunday afternoon at Omaha Roncalli.
The host Kelly Ryan Pride earned an 11-0 victory, eliminating the Pioneers from the Class B Area 3 Tournament. Post 348 also lost its tourney opener, 9-0, ending the summer campaign with back-to-back shutout losses.
The elimination game started with three scoreless innings, however. Fort Calhoun appeared to be in a tight battle before Roncalli scored eight runs during the fourth frame and three in the fifth to end the game by run rule. It outhit the Pioneers just 7-4.
Sam Halford led Post 348's efforts with a two-hit game. Defensively, Tanner Jacobson struck out two batters in 3 1/3 innings.

Seniors lose 10-1 on road
The Fort Calhoun Seniors' losing streak hit seven games Tuesday at Boyd Park in Omaha.
The Pioneers fell to 6-9, dropping a 10-1 game to the Central Eagles. The game lasted just five innings by run rule.
Post 348 managed three hits, while Central notched 11. Tylan Conner threw four frames for Fort Calhoun, striking out three batters in defeat.
