NOTICE TO BIDDERS City of Blair 218 South 16th Street Blair, NE 68008 Project: 10th Street Extension Pavement City of Blair, Nebraska HGM Project No. 703320 Sealed bids will be received in the 218 South 16th Street office of the City Clerk until 10:00 o’clock a.m. on March 16, 2021 for all work set forth in the plans, specifications and proposals for the above-mentioned project. Bids will be opened and publicly read immediately following the filing deadline in the City Clerk’s office of City Hall. No FAXED bids will be accepted. Major items of work for this project include the following: 7780 CY Embankment – Borrow 7914 SY Construct 12” Concrete Pavement 2768 SY Construct 6” PCC Multi-Use Trail 8 EA Construct Curb Inlet (Type I and III) 238 SF Construct PCC Curb Ramps 6135 LF Permanent Paint Marking Clearing and Grubbing Traffic Control Erosion Control Bidding documents, including construction drawings, are placed in the Office of the City Clerk for examination. Copies for bidding may be obtained from the office of the Engineer: HGM Associates Inc., 5022 South 114th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68137 upon request. Hardcopies of the documents may be picked up at the office at a cost of $30.00 (prepaid); there will be a $40.00 (prepaid) charge if documents are to be mailed. Bidding document fees are nonrefundable. If requesting documents by mail, please include a cover letter indicating the name of the project the request is for and send request to the attention of Rita Milligan. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond by a surety company registered to do business in the State of Nebraska in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price and made payable to the City of Blair. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within 30 days after the bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, payment and maintenance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price and a certificate of insurance. The work under the proposed contract shall be completed as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Work is to commence within 10 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Project shall be substantially complete and open to the public by no later than October 1, 2021.
