NOTICE OF CREATION STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2022-2 OF THE CITY OF FORT CALHOUN, NEBRASKA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 19, 2022, the Mayor and Council of the City of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska (the “City”) passed and approved Ordinance No. 796 (the “Ordinance”) creating Street Improvement District No. 2022-2 (the “District”). The District shall encompass and include the described portions of the following streets in the City and the limits, boundaries and improvements are defined and established as follows: STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2022-2 The streets within the District to be improved by grading, paving, curbing, guttering, drainage and related incidental work shall include all or a portion of the following: 7th and Monroe Street intersection improvements, to reconstruct the intersection as a 4-way intersection for access to Fort Atkinson State Park, extending north of Monroe Street on 7th Street for a distance of not more than one block. Which described streets are included within the boundaries of Street Improvement District No. 2022-2, which boundaries of the District are defined as the lots and lands adjacent to the intersection of 7th Street and Monroe Street and 7th Street north of such intersection for a distance of not more than one block in the City of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. The improvements shall be made at public cost. If the owners of record title at the time the Ordinance was adopted representing more than 50% of the front footage of the property directly abutting any streets, avenues or alleys to be improved in the District shall file with the Clerk within 20 days after the first publication of this notice written objections to the creation of the District, such improvements shall not be made in the District. If sufficient objections are not filed against the District in the manner and time provided, the Mayor and Council shall forthwith proceed to cause the proposed improvements in the District to be constructed as provided in the Ordinance.
