The Class C1 No. 1 Pierce football team doubled Arlington in offensive yards and more than quadrupled it on the scoreboard Friday night, 58-13.
The Eagles managed 218 yards on the road, but the Bluejays notched 447 in scoring 28 first-quarter points, 17 in the second and 13 more during the fourth. The top-ranked team in C1 led 28-0 after one quarter and 45-7 at halftime, improving to 4-0 as AHS dropped to 2-2.
The Eagles' Dustin Kirk led his squad with a pair of touchdown receptions. The senior caught an 18-yarder from Logan Kaup during the second quarter before nabbing a 13-yarder from Kaden Foust in the fourth.
Kirk finished with five total receptions for 32 yards, while Nick Smith pulled down three for 40.
Jacob Beans led the AHS rushing attack with five carries for 68 yards, while Isaac Foust ran for 45.
Five Pierce players scored touchdowns against the Eagles, including Nebraska football recruit Benjamin Brahmer. The tight end put up 6 points on a 52-yard pass from Abram Scholting, who finished with three touchdown completions.
Arlington next faces Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on Friday. The District 3 road game kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
