New water slides installed at Blair pool

As swimmers arrived at the Blair Municipal Pool on Friday afternoon, lifeguards gave them the word that the new water slides were open. The water attraction features a 6-foot high spiral slide and a12-foot high spiral tube.
While the city had planned for the slides to be ready at the beginning of the season, delivery was delayed due to production problems related to COVID-19. Construction and assembly of the unit was completed earlier in the week and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services inspected and approved the slide Friday morning.
The new slides are located along the edge of the pool where the water depth is 4 feet. The splash down area is roped off and a lifeguard is posted in the water to assist swimmers who might need some help.
