More than 800 new cases reported in 3RPHD counties

New COVID-19 cases in the Three Rivers Public Health Department continue to hit high-triple digits over the course of a week.

From Jan. 13 to 19, the Three Rivers Public Health Department reported 864 new cases in its three-county jurisdiction.

Washington County saw 233 new cases, Saunders County registered 238 and Dodge County recorded the most of the three at 393 new cases.

As of Jan. 19, 409 individuals in the Omaha Metro Healthcare Coalition area, which includes Washington, Dodge, Douglas, Saunders, Sarpy and Cass Counties, were hospitalized with COVID-19.

More than 60% of individuals 5 years of age and older in the Three Rivers jurisdiction are fully vaccinated. For Washington County, 59.51% of individuals in that age range have been vaccinated.
