Lindsey Dale was born on October 29th, 1954, in Schuyler, Nebraska, the son of Elbert and Audrey Stark. He grew up in Rogers, Nebraska, and attended country school until the eighth grade and graduated from Schuyler High School. After High School, Lindsey farmed with his father and graduated from college with a degree in Auto Diesel Mechanics.
In addition to farming, he and his father raised pigs and stock cows until his dad retired in 1985. Lindsey worked for various companies such as John Deere and Behlan Manufacturing until he began his long career with the State of Nebraska Department of Roads. Lindsey retired in 2013 after 33 years of service.
Lindsey loved raising his pigs and could often be found in the barn caring for the newborn piglets. Lindsey enjoyed riding motorcycles and took many cross-country trips with friends. After returning from Sturgis to be the best man at his friend’s wedding, he met Crystal who was the maid of honor. After a year of dating, they were married on September 14th, 1985, at First Christian Church in Blair, Nebraska. Lindsey was baptized at First Christian Church and as a member Lindsey served as an Elder and Deacon and was a Sunday School, VBS, and Bible Buddies teacher. Lindsey enjoyed many hobbies: riding motorcycles, gardening, working on home improvement projects, and could fix just about anything. Lindsey was a good sport and great “gopher” while helping his family run their family businesses, Cappuccino Corner and Vets Baseball Field Concession Stand. These family times together hold fond memories for the entire family.
