Ladies dress up for 4th annual golf tourney

The Ladies 4th Annual Golf Tournament at River Wilds Golf Club was a themed event.
Golfers dressed in 1980s attire for the Saturday afternoon tourney at the 18-hole course north of Blair. Bright, neon colors were common as were hairstyles unique to the decade.
Robin Andreasen of Kennard and Cora Thelen of Omaha brought an additional theme to the event, too. Both dressed as Scooby-Doo characters. Andreasen was Daphne in purple, while Thelen was Velma in orange.
Tournaments continue at River Wilds through the month of August and into September. The River Wilds Club Championship will be contested next Saturday and Sunday in flights. There are Men's Gross, Senior Gross, Ladies Gross, Men's Handicap and Ladies Handicap divisions of play.
The regular golf league, bracket-style tourneys, meanwhile, continue through Sept. 7.
