Judy Knapp of Omaha passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022. Private services will be held. Judy was born in Omaha on April 15, 1950, Judy is survived by her beloved children, sons Dean Pierce (Angela) of Omaha, and Jason Pierce (Theresa) of Blair, and daughter, Lindsey Gilmore (Gregg) of Omaha, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews galore.
Judy loved spending time fishing, going on any adventure she and Lindsey could dream up, playing cards, crafting and creating, and when the opportunity arose, giving out the best hugs and solid life advice! Judy and the almighty are likely up there right now swapping fishing stories together in heaven. In addition to meeting the man himself, Judy has now been joyfully reconnected with her parents, her beloved sister, Joan and her lovely niece Stephanie.
Judy saw the beauty in things no one else saw, and she could turn anything into a treasure. Yes, she had some spice to her and you had to have an appetite for her sense of humor, but man, did she know how to tell you like it was (whether you wanted to hear it or not). Judy lived her life with a little grit, sass, love and so much adventure. She lived her life on her terms and under her circumstances.
Thank you, Judy, for all the love and life you shared with this world. Our lives will be forever changed because you were in it!
If there is one piece of advice Judy would want to leave on this world it’s this: “drive careful and watch out for the deer - they're in rut."
Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
