Jeffery Paul “Zepher” “Wulfman” Wulf, passed away Nov. 11, 2024, surrounded by love in Blair, Nebraska, after a short but severe illness.
Jeff was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Donald Wulf and Larita Mae (Carnaby) Wulf, on January 5, 1954. His family owned a farm outside of Kennard, Nebraska. He was raised with his brother Randy in Arlington and attended Arlington High School. After high school he attended trade school in Colorado to study motorcycle mechanics.
Wulfman was visually impaired, which gained him acute hearing abilities. He used his talent to become a sound engineer for many local bands over the decades and made many friends in the music scene. Wulfman loved loud rock ’n’ roll and his speakers could be heard by his neighbors several acres away.
Zepher enjoyed his independence, and always had a project to work on. He owned an auto body shop in Arlington, built his own house in Herman, Nebraska, and his prized possession was his 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
He will be most remembered for his clever humor in every situation, good or bad. Even in illness, he made everyone who cared for him laugh.
Jeff will be missed by all who knew him. His band mates, his camping community in Arlington and many more, namely his friends Teddy Blankenship and Mary Weaver, Jon and Renee Zahourek, Tony and Ivy Goold, and Hank Goold and Kristen Hubbard.
