The Class B No. 3 Norris volleyball team lived up to its ranking Tuesday at Blair High School, sweeping the Bears in the three sets.
The Titans (15-4 overall) won the first 25-13, following it up with 25-13 and 25-12 second and third sets. The loss dropped coach Brandi Nicholson's BHS squad to 1-15 this season.
The Bears fell behind 10-2 during the first set before Emma Cada scored an emphatic block to pull her team within seven. Norris responded, however, running away with the race to 25 before Carley Damme's serve went unreturned at 21-12 and Cada's spike got through at 22-13.
Still, Norris earned a 1-0 lead with a 12-point set victory.
Blair's Joslyn Policky scored two of the second's first 10 points. Her Bears pulled within 7-6 before the Titans went onto a 5-0 run, taking back control of the match again.
Damme and Policky scored points as the set went on, but Norris was well ahead. The Titans retained control in the third set and left BHS with the victory.
Blair was scheduled to face Omaha Gross on Thursday and will compete during the Eastern Midlands Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Bears take on Elkhorn, the tourney host, first at 9 a.m.

AHS falls to Mustangs Tuesday
After competing amid a tournament in the same gym Saturday, the Arlington volleyball team returned to Raymond Central High School on Tuesday, falling to the Mustangs 3-0.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 5-15 this season.
Coach Katarina Nelson's AHS squad wore pink uniforms for Breast Cancer Awareness Month against Raymond. The coach said her AHS players will wear the uniforms for the rest of the month as well.
