Health department reports 2 more COVID-19 deaths in county

Cases of COVID-19 in Washington County continue to rise significantly, according to the Three Rivers Public Health Department, which reported Friday there were 148 new cases in the last week.

Total cases in Washington County now stand at 640.

"We need everyone to do their part to help us decrease cases," Executive Director Terra Uhing said. "It could help save someone's life."

The health department reported seven new deaths in the district, including two Washington County residents  -- a man in his 70s and another man in his 80s. Both had underlying health conditions. 

There were also three Dodge County residents and two Saunders County residents who died.

Total deaths in Washington County is 10.
