Fort Calhoun volleyball senior McKenna Greenwell surpassed 1,000 career digs Thursday, extending her school record mark and helping the Pioneers earn back-to-back wins during a home triangular.
Coach James Slie's libero climbed into four-digit territory as FCHS topped Louisville 25-20, 23-25, 25-14 and Yutan 26-24, 25-21. The wins pushed the Pioneers' season record to 10-9.
“Another solid performance out of libero Kenna Greenwell,” Slie said.
In addition, the coach credited Fort Calhoun seniors Rianna Wells and Ellie Lienmann for their efforts against the Lions and Chieftains.
“Great setting night for Rianna Wells,” he said. “Outstanding player tonight was Ellie Lienemann with great, key hits when needed and good defense.”
The Pioneers next play Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament volleyball, competing at Raymond Central tonight. The match on the Mustangs' home floor starts at 7 p.m.
