A gas line was struck at Gerhold Concrete Company in Blair on Friday afternoon.
Blair and Fort Calhoun volunteer fire departments and Washington County sheriff's deputies responded to the incident around 1:30 p.m.
"Some workers from Gerhold Concrete were cleaning out a drainage ditch and struck a gas line," Blair Assistant Fire Chief Joe Leonard said. "It seems to be a high pressure line, as well."
Black Hills Energy was called to respond. They were also on scene in Arlington for another gas line.
Employees were evacuated into the office building.
