The Arlington football team improved to 3-2 Friday night, while their fellow Washington County squads dropped home games.
Blair lost 28-0 to Class B No. 1 Bennington, Fort Calhoun lost its homecoming game 8-6 to Boys Town and the Eagles earned an 18-15 road win at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

Kaup throws 2 scores for Eagles
Arlington quarterback Logan Kaup threw two touchdown passes Friday as the Eagles beat Logan View by three points.
While the AHS defense held the Raiders to just 209 yards of total offense, Kaup connected with Dustin Kirk and Nick Smith for first-half scores. Between the two touchdowns, kicker Colton Willmott hit a 31-yard field goal.
The Eagles led 18-7 at halftime and held on for an 18-15 win after Logan View scored a second touchdown during the third quarter.

FCHS drops homecoming game
Turnovers and empty red zone trips inside the Boys Town 10-yard line cost Fort Calhoun on Friday night.
The Cowboys held on for an 8-6 win despite not scoring after taking an 8-0 lead with 10:06 left during the first quarter. Clint Dierks scored the Pioneers' touchdown on a 1-yard run during the second quarter, but FCHS was stopped three more times when taking snaps inside Boys Town's 10-yard line.
The Pioneers' final offensive possession started at their own 25, but ended well short of scoring position when quarterback Ty Hallberg was sacked on fourth down with less than 2 minutes remaining.
Calhoun fell to 3-2 defeat, committing three turnovers during their second home loss of the season.

Badgers beat Bears
The Blair High School defense held No. 1 Bennington to 14 less points than Omaha Skutt did a week ago, but it still fell to the Badgers, 28-0. The Bears fell to 1-4 in defeat, while their opposition improved to 5-0.
Bennington led just 14-0 at halftime, but added two more scores during the third quarter to pull away.
