The Fremont girls and boys swimming teams finished second and third Saturday during the Gene Cotter Invitational hosted by Lincoln High.
The girls finished with 200 points to first-place Grand Island's 283, according to the Lincoln Journal Star, while the boys scored 145 compared to Kearney's 307 and the Islanders' 200.
Arlington High School student-athlete Cade Arnett helped the Tigers' 200-yard medley relay squad earned first in 1:45.54 during the event, while Blair High School's Ryleigh Schroeter was third in the individual 500 freestyle and in the 100 backstroke.
Fremont — and its Blair and Arlington swimmers — next competes Thursday at a Grand Island dual.
