The Fremont High School swimming team earned fourth- and fifth-place team finishes Saturday at an Elkhorn meet.
The FHS girls placed fourth out of 13 teams, while the boys were fifth out of 12. Washington County student-athletes contributed to both efforts.
“The Tigers swam great,” coach David Struble wrote in his meet recap. “Hitting 'in-season best times' was the main goal, and all the swimmers were dropping time almost every event.”
Arlington junior Cade Arnett's top finish came during the 200-yard medley relay event. His Fremont team finished third in 1:45.36.
Eagles sophomore Lizzie Meyer, meanwhile, was a member of the Tigers' fourth-place medley relay squad on the girls' side. Jesse Karsen, Blair freshman Jane Busboom and Ryleigh Schroeter, and she finished in 1:57.57.
Schroeter was also seventh in the 100-yard backstroke.
Arlington athlete Dathan Hansen scored a 12th-place finish alongside his 400 freestyle relay teammates, too.
The FHS swim team next competes Jan. 6 at Lincoln North Star.
