Unofficial Washington County primary election results announced

Unofficial results: Jon Stewart tops Jordan Rishel

Unofficial results for the May 10 primary election have been released. 

In the District 4 Washington County Board of Supervisors race, Jon Stewart received 289 votes to incumbent Jordan Rishel's 268. One write-in vote for the race was recorded. 

In the Blair School Board race, nine competed, with the top six vote getters advancing to the November general election. Steve Callaghan (1,201 votes), Herta Bouvia (1,134), Courtney Tabor (1,082), Tim  Welch (1,036), Brittney Gunderson (957) and Nate Larsen (839) all advance to the general election. Tim Murray (778), Aimee Cothran (769) and Nicholas Ell (287) also ran. Twenty-five write-in votes were cast. 

Fort Calhoun School Board had seven candidates with the top six vote-getters advancing to the general election. The top six were Ted Welchert (352 votes), Cassie Kelly (284), Amanda Schrum (276), John Pane (276), Jon Genoways (223) and Ryan Sevcik (219). Kevin Shultz (119) also ran. 

Though Nebraska voters ultimately chose Jim Pillen in the race for Nebraska's Republican representative for Governor, Brett Lindstrom took the most votes in Washington County with 1,204 to Charles Herbster's 1,170 and Pillen's 1,095.

Carol Blood handily won the Nebraska Democratic nomination for Governor and did the same in Washington County, out tallying Roy Harris 632 votes to 78.
