Eagles, Pioneers close out regular season golf schedule

The Arlington and Fort Calhoun golf teams closed out their regular seasons Thursday at Northridge Country Club.
The Eagles finished with 378 strokes over 18 holes in the heat, while the Pioneers carded 392. The Washington County teams took seventh and 10th, respectively, while the host Tekamah-Herman Tigers claimed first with just 323 swings.
Tiger Brody Rogers played his nine-hole home course twice and finished with 76 strokes to earn first individually. Arlington's Jacob Meehan played it, too, taking 85 swings to finish ninth, while senior Tyler Eastman led Fort Calhoun with his 91.
“Tough conditions today, but Tyler did awesome with his lowest career score,” FCHS coach Dustin Humphrey said.
Landon Miller added 98 strokes for the Pioneers, while Owen Newbold shot a 100 on the hilly course with narrow fairways. Dylan Boldt added 103 strokes and Owen Miller carded a 110.
AHS' Eddie Rosenthal just missed placing in the top-15 during the 12-team invite, finishing with an 18-hole 88. Josh Hamre added 96 strokes for coach Scott Parson's team, while Frankie Rosenbalm and Stokely Lewis totaled 108 and 119, respectively.
