Goodlettsville, Tenn. -- Dollar General’s Blair distribution center recently presented donations to Autism Center of Nebraska (ACN) and Project Harmony in keeping with the Company’s mission of Serving Others and philanthropic focus to nourish the mind, body and planet.
“Dollar General’s Blair distribution center is committed to being a good neighbor and positive business partner, which includes supporting local organizations making a positive difference in our collective community,” shared Joseph Hunter, Dollar General’s senior director of operations at DG’s Blair distribution center. “We are proud to exemplify our mission of Serving Others through these donations and thank the Autism Center of Nebraska and Project Harmony for their admirable efforts to aid those seeking support.”
The ACN provides residential and vocational assistance to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas. Dollar General provided $5,000 to aid the organization in providing services such as Residential Services, Vocational and Day Services, Community Inclusion, Transition Services, Employment Services and Respite Services.
Founded in 1996, Project Harmony’s mission is to protect and support children, collaborate with professionals and engage the community to end child abuse and neglect. Dollar General provided $1,000 to support the organization in providing youth-oriented mental health services, early intervention and training programs which served over 8,500 children in Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa last year.
