The Washington County Sheriff's Office and Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue responded to an accident involving an overturned dirt truck on U.S. Highway 75 near the Douglas County line Friday afternoon.

Det. Brian Beckman said the truck, which was hauling dirt, was headed northbound on the highway.

“There was another vehicle stopped in the lane to make a turn across traffic, the dump truck couldn't avoid it, moving onto the shoulder and lost control and slid on its side,” Beckman said.

The driver did not have any injuries and did not receive medical treatment.
