Diane C. Maxwell, 73, of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, Josie Harper House, after recently being diagnosed with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Joe, son Jamie (Sumer) Maxwell, daughter Cari Maxwell, and beloved granddaughter Olivia Williams. Other survivors include her brothers Bob (Nadine) Buffaloe, Greg (Jen) Buffaloe, sisters-in-law Betty Lewis, Lona (Kenny) Baxter, Vicki (Ron) Novak, and many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and cherished friends.
Diane was selfless, generous, empathetic, loving, kind and good natured. She always showed up, helped, and made things better. They say that you remember people for how they made you feel, and Diane made everyone feel special. No words can adequately convey how much she meant to so many and how much she will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring, in accordance with her wishes. Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 3809 N. 90th, Omaha, NE 68134, is handling arrangements, memorials can be directed to the family.
