After an 0-10 start, the Blair Dawgs town team finished out the summer's Dodge County Baseball League regular season with a pair of victories.
The Dawgs defeated the Leigh/Schuyler Crawdads 9-2 on July 22 for their first win before besting the Dodge Diamondbacks 7-4 last Sunday. They'll now finish out the season with fair appearances in both West Point and Scribner over the next month.
Against Leigh/Schuyler, the Dawgs won by seven with AJ Bilslend on the mound. The Post 154 Junior Legion coach said his arm was sore the next day.
Then, on Sunday, Blair's Brad Gentzler, Jacob Garder, Nick Nelsen, Brad Tonn, Aaron Kelberlau and Canton Lippincott knocked in against Dodge, according to stats kept on the DCBL website. Tonn earned the pitching win, while Garder earned the save.
