Cliff Barker of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Feb. 4, 2021, at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital at the age of 68. He was born on Nov. 26, 1952, to Ruth and Russell Barker. He was married to his wife, Jackie, on April 19, 1970. Worked hard all his life to provide the best life for his family. He loved working on cars, especially his 1962 Chevy Bel Air. NASCAR racing, Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with his kids and grandchildren was a true enjoyment. His biggest hobby for the summer time, gardening! He loved making sure Jackie had enough tomatoes to make his tomato juice.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years and four children: daughter, Doni Lukehart and husband Tony of Cushing, Okla., daughter, Shelly Thornton and husband Tim of Calumet, Okla., sons, Cliff (Boomer) Barker of Denison, Iowa, Andrew Barker of Missouri Valley, Iowa; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lukehart and Casey Ledford, Dani and Victor Atondo and son Leo; Rachel and Jimmy Kinder and daughter Arabella; Nathan Peterson, Will Gleichman, Stuart Gleichman and Katie Ricks, Beau Lukehart, all of Oklahoma; Shellbie and Zach Melby and children, James, Zachariah, and Lilith; Nina Green and Shannon Green of Missouri Valley, Iowa; mother, Ruth Barker of Missouri Valley, Iowa; brothers, Dave and Luke; sisters, Rebecca, Deborah, Susan, Polly, Tricia, Jasmine, Lori; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Russell; brothers, Andrew and Robert; sister, Marie, and his beloved dog Leia.
Visitation was on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Funeral service will be private for the family.
