Marla and Fred “Jim” Carritt of Blair will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Dec. 12. They were married in Mapleton, Iowa, on Dec. 12, 1970. Jim is the son of Harold and Arlene Carritt, both deceased and Marla is the daughter of Dwaine and Elaine Chamberlain, both deceased.
Jim is retired and Marla works as a secretary.
The couple have three daughters, Shauna (Jay) Gerke of Modale, Iowa, Traci (Todd) Hipnar of Blair and Lisa (Nick) Johnson of Blair.
