Caren Ann Riley entered this world on Aug. 15, 1955. She passed away peacefully, at home, on Sept. 9, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Karl; children Inga (Chad), Jake and Rachel; grandchildren, Mya, Dane, Riley and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and LaVaun Riley; brother, Craig; and grandson Boden.
Caren was a wonderful woman, who loved her family and friends. She was an incredible mother and grandmother. She was fond of hanging with classmates from her Northwest class of 1973. People that knew her best described her as a “bright spot in any room,” “a sweet, loving soul” and even “feisty.” Others have described her as “kind, always happy, always a smile, always willing to help,” “sincere,” and an “unforgettable life-long friend.” She was “one of a kind,” and a person with “the biggest heart.”
Visitation and celebration of life services were held on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.
