BREAKING: Elijah E. Logan in custody at Washington County Jail

After a four-day manhunt, Elijah E. Logan, 22, was apprehended after turning himself into the Metro Fugitive Task on Monday at 2:39 p.m. following a shooting that resulted in the death of Jordan Ely on Friday.

Logan, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, is charged with first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

According to a press released from the Blair Police Department, "The Washington County Attorney's office will review and amend the charges as needed. We anticipate the change of homicide added."

According to an arrest affidavit, Samantha Ely called 911 to report she had been shot by Logan, the father of her child, at her home in the 1000 block of Park Street. She said the child was with her but unharmed.

Ely also stated her brother, Jordan, was shot by Logan, and was lying on the floor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Logan fled the area after the shooting.

"We would like to thank everyone involved in the relentless pursuit of the suspect, both in Law

Enforcement and the public at large," read the BPD report. "A special thanks must go to the U.S. Marshal Service, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Omaha Police Department, Council Bluffs Police Department and Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office."
