Blair police were patrolling near Deerfield Elementary Wednesday after a man was spotted walking his dog on Deerfield Lions Trail near Deerfield Apartments while carrying a gun.
Police were contacted at around 1:50 p.m. and were in the area throughout the day.
The department is taking precautions to determine the legitimacy of the report, Chief of Police Joe Lager said.
