Blair golfers finish regular schedule

The Blair boys golf team played its final nine holes of the regular season Thursday at Wahoo's Hilltop Country Club.
“Easton (Chaffee) played well,” Bears coach Ross Udey said.
The team-leader shot a 40, while Adam Grote finished with 53 strokes. Connor Wayman added 57, Tyler Lantry carded 58 and Landen Oppliger had 62.
BHS, which finished third in the Wahoo triangular with 208 swings, was then scheduled to play Monday during the Class B-2 District Tournament in Wayne. The Bears were to face players from Bennington, Columbus Lakeview, Elkhorn Mount Michael, O'Neill, Omaha Concordia, Omaha Roncalli, Pierce, Schuyler, South Sioux City, Wayne and West Point-Beemer with state qualifications on the line. Results will be published in Friday's Washington County Enterprise.

JV competes, too
The junior varsity BHS golfers finished with 262 team strokes Thursday in Wahoo.
Xander Miller and Kaleb Loftis finished with 64s, while Sam Hicks shot a 65. Luke Valasek added a 69, while Ryan Ray shot a 71.
JV Bears golfed Wednesday during the Bennington Invite as well. Gavin Ulrich led BHS with an 18-hole 110. Kalvin Lorenzen added 112 strokes, while Eli Bush finished with 117.
Rylan Blattert, meanwhile, carded a 123 and Kyle Studanski shot a 124.
“So proud of the way these kids represented their school and competed their best,” Udey said. “Great week. Everyone on the team got a chance to play.”
